The forehead lift or brow lift is usually viewed as a supplementary plastic surgery procedure. Cosmetic surgery patients generally have this treatment after an eyelid surgery or after a facelift, and at times even after a rhinoplasty.
The brow lift surgery removes jarring frown lines and raises the eyebrows giving the appearance of a smoother brow and a younger face. In a typical brow lift, the plastic surgeon discards a part of the muscles responsible for both mild and deep frown lines.
The forehead lift is an eminently cosmetic procedure recommended for 40-65 year olds and is only suggested for those of a lower age if the vertical frown lines are very pronounced. This surgery is comparatively better than non-invasive injectable treatments as the effects last longer.
The incisions that the doctor makes for the brow lift are usually hidden in the hairline. Even if the incisions are made in a visible area, they are small and leave scars that fade rapidly.
